Our Purple Statice is a striking and vibrant flower known for its vivid, rich purple blooms and papery texture. The small, star-shaped flowers are densely packed into clusters, forming a rounded, textured shape that gives the arrangement a soft, airy feel. The blooms are held on long, slender stems, which are often branching, creating a graceful, natural look that complements both wildflower-inspired designs and more structured floral arrangements. The deep purple color of Purple Statice symbolizes creativity, mystery, and admiration, adding an element of intrigue and richness to any floral display. Its bold color makes it a standout in bouquets and centerpieces, and it pairs beautifully with both bright and pastel tones. Purple Statice works well with flowers like roses, sunflowers, or lilies, where its texture and color provide contrast and depth. It can also be used to add a pop of color to monochromatic or neutral palettes, where its vibrant hue draws the eye and adds a lively energy.

  • Blooming Time: Statice needs 2 days to fully hydrate and bloom after following our care instructions under the “Flower Care” tab, ensuring they’re in peak condition for your event.

  • Each bloom can range from 0.5-1 inches in diameter.

Flower Care Statice:

Statice is a popular and long-lasting flower known for its vibrant colors and delicate, papery texture. It's often used in dried arrangements, but with the right care, fresh-cut statice can last for several days in a vase. Here are some tips for keeping your cut statice flowers fresh.

1. Trim the Stems

  • Cut at an Angle: Trim the stems about 1-2 inches from the bottom using sharp, clean scissors or a floral knife. Cut at a 45-degree angle to increase the surface area for water absorption.
  • Underwater Cutting: If possible, cut the stems underwater to prevent air bubbles from entering the stems, which can block water absorption. Make sure to remove any rubber bands or plastic sleeves/paper around the bunches.

2. Remove Foliage Below Waterline

  • Gently remove any leaves or foliage that will be submerged in the water. This helps prevent bacterial growth and keeps the water clean, which will extend the life of your flowers.

3. Place in Fresh Water

  • Use a Clean Vase: Fill a clean vase with lukewarm water (not too hot or cold), as warm water helps the flowers hydrate more efficiently.
  • Add Flower Food: If you have flower food, mix it into the water as instructed. Flower food provides essential nutrients and helps prevent bacterial growth. If you dont have flower food, just plain water will do the trick.

4. Keep the Water Fresh

  • Change the water everyday to keep it clear and free of bacteria. Always trim the stems slightly when changing the water to maintain hydration.

5. Avoid Direct Sunlight and Heat

  • Keep your flowers in a cool, shaded spot, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts. Excessive heat can cause the flowers to wilt prematurely.

6. Maintain Proper Temperature

  • Flowers thrive in temperatures between 65-72°F (18-22°C). Avoid placing them in cold drafts or near heating vents, as extreme temperatures can shorten their lifespan.

7. Re-cut the Stems if Needed

  • If the flowers begin to droop or wilt prematurely, re-cut the stems by about 1 inch and place them back into fresh water. This can help improve water absorption and revive the flowers.
